Africa Bridge Receives Grant of $20,000 from Newman's Own® Foundation
Africa Bridge is pleased to announce that it has received a grant of $20,000 from the Newman’s Own Foundation.  The grant is an investment into Africa Bridge’s ongoing efforts to listen to vulnerable children in Tanzania and empower their communities to protect support and care for them through integrated, sustainable development programs.

Africa Bridge documentary film wins Prestigious Silver Telly Award
This top film award was presented to Lynn Hennagin for footage she recorded in September, 2008. The documentary showcases the projects being implemented by Africa Bridge to protect and serve the country's' most vulnerable children.

Africa Bridge teaches self-sufficiency to villages, August 27, 2009
Founded in 2000, Africa Bridge has created over 20 income-generating cooperatives that have empowered the communities of the Masoko and Isongole wards in southwestern Tanzania to create permanent change by providing sustainable incomes for family caregivers and access to education for 95% of the village children.

On August 29, 2009, the first Africa Bridge Harvest Gala will be held.  In the tradition of a Tanzanian after- harvest festival, the event will include native food, dancing and drumming as well as guest speakers; Barry Childs, Africa Bridge founder and Lisa MacCallum, the managing director of The Nike Foundation.
