Jennifer Martin
Grant Writer
Jennifer joined the Africa Bridge team as a consultant grant writer in 2023. She has 20 years’ experience as a writer/editor and as a nutrition program manager in the humanitarian aid and international development field.
In her role as grant writer with Africa Bridge, Jennifer researches funding sources and prepares, submits, documents, and follows up on grant applications.
Before joining Africa Bridge, Jennifer worked for many years as an emergency nutritionist with Concern Worldwide and Save the Children UK and more recently as a writer with Northeastern University and Medicines for Humanity. She has combined her passion for humanitarian and development work with her passion for writing. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. She has lived and worked in many countries in Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean.
When not working, Jennifer enjoys creative writing (she’s always in the middle of writing a novel), reading, running (with a couple of marathons and a bunch of half-marathons under her belt), hiking, and traveling.
