Theory of Change

Both economic interventions and social service strengthening are required to produce meaningful and sustainable improvements in the well-being of Most Vulnerable Children in rural Tanzanian. Change will occur when social and economic interventions are designed in an integrated and mutually reinforcing manner and are implemented as a true partnership in which Africa Bridge, beneficiaries (vulnerable children and households), village leadership, and local government work together. Change requires projects to be driven at the local level, as evidenced by the new village structures created under this model. Finally, change will be sustained when the partnership and project interventions represent a multi-year commitment; economic and social change in this environment takes time.
